Wednesday Brews is a weekly beer meetup in Long Island City, Queens. We have met every Wednesday since 2018 — several hundred gatherings, at a different neighborhood brewery or bar each week.
Who we are
Wednesday Brews is a weekly social meetup in Long Island City, in the New York City borough of Queens. It has met every Wednesday since 2018 — several hundred gatherings — and it is organized by a small group of volunteers who pick the venue, send the weekly message, and host the night. There is no membership fee. We sell nothing and promote nothing: the group exists so that people in the neighborhood have somewhere to be on a Wednesday.

How it works
Every Wednesday we meet at a brewery or bar somewhere in Long Island City. The spot changes week to week — waterfront when the weather's good, somewhere with a roof when it isn't. We start at 7:30 p.m. and people drift in throughout the evening. There's no agenda and no obligation. Come when you can.
Getting the details
Once you join, you'll get one text each week with where we're meeting, what the weather's doing, and why that spot. Reply IN if you're coming or OUT if you can't make it — it helps whoever's hosting know roughly how many chairs to grab.
Keeping score
We check in at the table each week, and those check-ins add up. Show up enough and you'll work your way from First Pour to Mug Club and, eventually, Hall of Foam. It is entirely for bragging rights, which is exactly why people care about it.
